What makes Cameo Kitchens unique?

The answer to that question is reflected in our corporate Mission Statement:

To demonstrate that kitchen remodeling can be accomplished in an efficient, organized, and systematic manner. Our track record proves that the unpleasant experiences often associated with many kitchen remodeling projects are, in fact, avoidable.

And indeed, since our inception in 1985, we have constantly built on our image and reputation as a team unmatched in our industry for creative design, professional installation, and dedicated customer service.

Unsolicited praise from our clients says it all.

What Our Customers Say

“The entire experience from design to installation was first rate.”

They will start the job pretty much to the minute that the contract states. And they will finish early…no kidding. And it will be EXACTLY as planned. And, if you are like me, you will be in awe! The actual execution piece of the construction of the new kitchen is a well-oiled machine. The painstaking attention to detail that will go into your new kitchen is eye-watering.

– G.E. Kovach

“We couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen! And we are
the envy of the neighborhood.”

Everything was so beautifully orchestrated from start to finish. We absolutely love our kitchen and get rave reviews from everyone. I can honestly say that there is not one thing I would change about the kitchen!

– Jean and Tony DiPaola

“Cameo far surpassed our expectations of what a kitchen remodeling experience could be like.”

I want to let you know that I’m beyond pleased with my renovated kitchen. It has style, embodies excellent workmanship, and is superbly functional. As I was selecting my appliances, granite, and so forth over the summer, vendor after vendor volunteered what an excellent company I had selected in Cameo. Now my personal experience bears that out.

– Heidi Bowers

“We got expert advice with patience.”

From planning to pricing, to tear down and remodel, everything ran smoothly, on budget and on schedule. In fact, the planned four-week project finished early- three weeks and three days! And the outcome was beautiful.

– Debbie and Ross Pickford

How do we do what we do so well?

It begins with how we are organized. We are a tight-knit family enterprise. We do between five and six million dollars in business annually, with 28 full-time employees, and we have no interest in expanding our volume beyond 90 to 100 kitchens a year, or expanding our staff beyond what we can control. That means potential customers may have to stand by for several months before their installation can begin; but they also tell us that the end product we deliver is well worth the wait.

Our consistent reputation for high quality and design beauty is further enhanced by our long-standing utilization of Honey Brook custom cabinets, hand-crafted in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania by dedicated craftsmen. The cabinets are available in oak, maple, birch, pine, or cherry in many different finishes and colors. Every kitchen is created from the finest raw materials available, hand-sanded and finished with a lustrous hand-rubbed stain.

Because our installers work for us, we aren’t hampered by delays frequently encountered elsewhere as subcontractors fall behind due to over-extension in multiple workplaces. Punctuality is a very important value to us. We take great pride in our consistent record of on-time (or earlier) achievement of the commitments we make to our customers.

A successful installation begins up front, with careful planning and full consideration of the homeowner’s desires and lifestyle choices. We want to explore every aspect of how the components of a “wish list” can be converted into a satisfying reality. For a detailed discussion of our initial planning process, and the installation that follows, please check out the Washingtonian magazine article, “I Want a New Kitchen”. This interesting and highly readable piece provides a candid interview with Cameo’s founder and president, Karl Keul.

Karl’s vision and dedication to excellence is reflected in every project that the Cameo team undertakes. As he puts it,

“When we started Cameo Kitchens, we learned quickly that a kitchen is often a family’s favorite room. It’s where you and your best friends gather, where families share their lives. We know that every kitchen we create with you is going to be a special place for your family–and we never forget that.”
